Our TY students recently completed their DATs assessment to ensure they have a better understanding of their strengths and skills. It was a productive day for all students and will be of great benefit to them before they begin the Leaving Certificate course.
Anti-Bullying week took place during the last week of term. A lot of work was completed by teachers and students to ensure that students were made aware of the dangers and seriousness of bullying. All money raised through our non-uniform day and Wear Something Pink Day went to Breast Cancer Ireland.
It was very encouraging to see our extra-curricular activities get back up and running at the end of September. Ecology studies was brought to life for our science students this week as they completed field work projects by investigating the treasures of a natural reservoir across the road from our school. Various species of insects were discovered as the students enjoyed an interactive morning of learning.

TY launched the Bank of Ireland ‘School Bank’ programme recently, which aims to promote financial literacy. The bank, which pupils run themselves with on-site help and guidance from Bank of Ireland staff, offers a unique workplace experience.
