The Grammar school celebrated Maths week recently with a huge variety of activities.

The annual Family Quiz was distributed to every family in the school, while 5th and 6th year students were involved in  PRISM (Problem Solving for Second Level Mathematicians) a competition run by NUIG.  Over the course of the week each maths class participated in climbing Mount Everest as a school. The students calculated that if each student in the school climbed a particular stairs 15 times over the week that they would as a group have scaled the 8, 848m of Everest.

6th year Maths classes practiced their probability skills with some games of chance on Friday afternoon, including Poker and Whist, while Countdown was played by all students at lunchtime.
