School Closure – Junior Certificate Training Day

Transition Year Trade Fair

Entrepreneurial and marketing skills were to the fore as the TY mini companies held their trade fair in the Old Gym just before Christmas. Christmas Carol Service

Hockey

The junior girls have had some impressive results recently, finishing second in their Leinster League.  One of the standout results was beating Loreto Dalkey.  The U14 and 1st year teams have also been performing well and we have high hopes of seeing these players develop over the coming seasons.

Camera Club

The Camera Club held an exhibition of their work in the school foyer, demonstrating their considerable talents and an eye for a good photo.  It is planned to host a larger exhibition later in the year for the general public.

Rugby

Sadly the Junior rugby team narrowly lost to Salesian Celbridge in the Duff Cup.  With a little more composure and game practice the result could have gone their way.  However, it is encouraging and will stand them in good stead as they play their league semi-final after Christmas.

Basketball

The school basketball teams travelled to Belfast to attend a series of matches between American Colleges.  As well as the exhibition matches they got to see a Higher Education-International Study event, with American Universities as well as Irish, and take part in a Fan Zone, with games, entertainment, and competitions.
