Transition Year students together with their Maths teacher Ms H Shevlin represented Drogheda Grammar School in the John Hooper Medal for Statistics competition 2016. The hard-working students received an order of merit from the judges in the competition. The girls received this for entering a poster entitled ‘Sugar – the Sweet but Silent Killer’. Thousands of students in Ireland registered for this competition but only 10 posters are picked each year to receive an order of merit. The girls worked very hard on this Statistics poster for many weeks gathering data, analysing the data, displaying it on graphs and finally putting it all together to create a colourful and beautifully presented poster. Well done girls!
