SEAI “One Good Idea” Competition

Debating Competition

The school debating team narrowly lost out in the semi-finals of the GR8 debate recently to a team from Sacred Heart. The motion “Assisted suicide should be legalised” provided a debate full of emotion, fact and strong arguments both for and against. Well done to both teams and thanks to LMFM who broadcast the debate.

Drogheda Grammar School Choir

The school choir were delighted to take part in the recent fundraising concert for St Peter’s primary school. The choir of 50 students performed in St Peter’s church and were part of a line-up that included the Drogheda Orchestral Collective, Kern, the St Peter’s school choir and a piece form a Dundalk Grammar school ensemble.

Health Promotion Week

The Grammar mile was extremely successful during health promotion week. A total of 395 miles were walked/ran by students on their lunch time. Many of the students completed 1-2 miles each day. Girls Basketball

Both the first year and second year teams are playing extremely well this season, and both teams qualifying for the quarter finals in their leagues. The 1st year team won their quarter final, sadly the second years lost by a single basket.
